Interview
Why Do Colleges Give Interview?
Most colleges conduct interviews to determine whether you are a good fit for their institution. Interviews are conducted for applicants who have passed the initial stage of academic requirements but are not convinced enough by the college to accept them. The interview stage may provide the college with a better sense of your vibe and whether that vibe is compatible with theirs.
What Colleges Give Interview?
Most Top 20-30 colleges and Ivys will have the option for you to get interviewed by their alumni. For a full list of colleges, Prep Scholar have a complete list of them here.
If Interview Is Optional, Should I Do It?
Yes, always accept interviews if you have the opportunity to do so. People who participate in interviews have a higher chance of being accepted than those who do not, because interviews reveal a new side of the applicant to the admission officer. Always remember that the rule of college applications is to show as much of yourself to the admissions officer as possible.
